About the Game

John A. Reder Presents — Raid Under Vectrexia! v1.0.0

Dive into the underwater warzone of Vectrexia! Take command of a formidable submarine where each mission tests your tactical skills, resource management, and battle-readiness in the perilous Sea of Vectrexia.

Your mission: sink as many enemy vessels as possible. Navigate a treacherous ocean landscape, engage enemy fleets, and outmaneuver lethal Anti-Sub hunter-killers.

Submarine Equipment:

  • Torpedoes for targeted destruction
  • A mortar cannon for long-range bombardments
  • Underwater stealth capabilities

Command Stations:

Station Function
Bridge Score tracking, depth control, orientation, station access
Gun Deck / Mortar Full 360° rotation for surface target strikes
Periscope / Torpedo Control Target and fire from three torpedo tubes
Navigation / Intel Map view of Vectrexia's Sea for tracking and planning
Engineering / Repairs Repair engines, ballast, torpedo tubes — hull repairs not possible at sea

Resources to Manage:

  • Fuel — Monitor closely; shortage leaves you stranded
  • Ballast — Essential for depth control
  • Hull — Withstands limited damage; 100% damage ends the mission

Supply Ship — Your lifeline for resupply, repairs, and rearming. Protect it at all costs — once destroyed you operate without resupply.

Enemy Ships:

Type Threat Level Notes
Cargo Ships 2–3 Primarily transport vessels, weaker offense
Military Ships 4 More formidable defenses
Military Intelligence Ships 5 Advanced tracking and support
Weapons Platforms 6 Launch missiles — approach with extreme caution
Sub Hunter-Killer Ships 10 Ultimate threat; assists others in tracking your sub

The Element of Surprise: Approach enemy fleets undetected to inflict maximum damage before they triangulate your position. Once discovered, expect depth charges, mortars, and advanced sonar tracking.

The mission ends when your submarine sustains 100% hull damage or runs out of fuel.
