About the Game
John A. Reder Presents — Raid Over Vectrexia! v1.0.0
This game was inspired by Will Wright's amazing 1984 game for the C64, "Raid Over Bungeling Bay." This is not an exact copy — many compromises had to be made to get it working on Vectrex hardware.
You are at war! Vectrexia is made up of many islands, making it difficult to mount a sustained attack on their bases and supplies. Using bombing runs on the factories, you can stop their war machine — just you in your attack helicopter with an aircraft carrier as support.
Controls:
- Joystick — Movement
- Button 1 — Fire Weapon (or Land on Carrier)
- Button 2 — Drop Bomb (use on Factories, Radar outposts, Battleships...)
- Button 3 — Toggle Radar and Cockpit read-outs
- Button 4 — Pause with Reset option
Game Options:
- Standard or Random Factory Placement — Standard recommended to learn the game
The Aircraft Carrier is your base of operations. It restocks your bomb supply and repairs damage. Your Radar Cockpit will show its Strength ("ACS") and the direction to reach it. Protect it at all costs — lose it and you'll have no way to repair or resupply!
Enemies:

| Gun Patrol Boats & Tanks | Alert Jet Fighters when they spot you; part of enemy supply network |
| Radar Stations | Alert Jet Fighters to scramble when spotted; cannot damage you |
| Turrets | Fire self-guided electrified energy balls with limited range |
| Jet Fighters | Scramble after positive identification; fly fast attack routes |
| Bombers | Target your aircraft carrier for bombing runs |
| Guided Missiles | Launch from missile bases once you're identified as a threat |
| Battleship | Constructed in enemy shipyard; sets sail to destroy your carrier once complete |
Radar Display:
- Your carrier = long rectangle
- Your aircraft = diamond
- Battleship = horizontal rectangle (when underway)
- Enemy jets, bombers, and missiles = triangles
- "FR" = Factories Remaining, "STR" = Helicopter Strength, "B" = Bombs, "LR" = Lives Remaining
